ICOMAT 2017

Members of MATFUN research team joined the prestigious international conference ICOMAT 2017 hosted by the Chicago-based CHiMaD Center for Hierarchical Materials Design in the metropolitan downtown Chicago. The conference is focused on martensitic, displacive and related transformations across all classes of materials and the connected technologies. Dr. Heczko delivered the talk “Power Law of Acoustic Emission Generated by Motion of Single Twin Boundary of Type I and II in Ni-Mn-Ga Magnetic Shape Memory Single Crystal” and Dr. Zeleny delivered the talk “Structural Stability of Ni2MnGa Modulated Martensites from First Principles” which contains recent results obtained within the MATFUN project.
